Belvedere Vodka Ad Campaign

This advertisement was pulled from Belvedere's social media sites including Twitter and Facebook after an outrage from anti-sexual violence groups. The marketing campaign's unmistakeable depiction of rape culture and suggested humor infuriated American audiences. The backlash led Belvedere's president, Charles Gibbs, to donate money to the Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network, which was received by angered viewers as an affirmation of guilt, furthering the idea that the ad had sexually violent undertones.
